The DeKalb Barb Boosters are proud to offer this scholarship opportunity to one male and one female graduating senior student-athlete from DeKalb High School. The student-athletes chosen for this award will have exemplified athletic excellence through one or more of the following criteria: regular practice attendance, at least three years of sports participation, DuPage Valley Conference Honors, sportsmanship both on and off the field as well as demonstrating leadership qualities on the team and in the classroom.

Two $1,000 scholarships (one male and one female) will be awarded.

Qualifications

To qualify for this scholarship, each senior student-athlete must:

• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50

• Have participated for three academic years in at least one eligible IHSA-sanctioned sport or activities at DeKalb High School. (Eligible sports and activities are on the application)

• Intend to pursue a post-high school academic or vocational education next fall
